Our Best Quality Oyster Knife - Shuck Oysters with Ease and Comfort

The Duxbury Oyster Knife with 2-1/8 inch (5.4 cm) x 5/8 inch (1.6 cm) commercial grade13 gauge (2.4 mm) high carbon stainless steel blade with our tough "Murphy Green" polypropylene plastic handle. This knife has quickly become a top seller all around the world.

What Makes this Oyster Shucking Knife so Special?

This knife was designed with the oyster men of Island Creek Oysters in Duxbury, Mass. This tough little knife is made with ergonomically shaped “Murphy Green” polypropylene plastic handle. Quick and easy does the trick with our Duxbury shucker!

This knife has a short 2 1/8” blade because longer blades will bend or brake when you apply pressure.

The blade tip is pointed, making this ideal for working into the oyster hinge and prying open oyster shells.

This High-Grade Premium Oyster Knife is Comfortable to Use for Hours!

Stainless steel is the prefered choice for shucking blades, because you don't need a very sharp cutting edge when opening seafood. For this oyster knife we use perfectly hardened, ground and polished 420HC high carbon stainless steel, pointy and sharp yet tough, requires little force to ease between the shells at the hinge. A simple twist of the wrist, a quick cut of the abductor muscle and the oyster is yours. It is also designed to be light-weight and perfectly balances in your hand. These benifits make this knife enjoyable and prefered for all day oyster shucking events. Make shucking oyster fun and not tedious.

How to Care for Your Oyster Knife? Hand wash and dry knives only. Please do not put your knife in the dish washer. Machine washing may damage the knife.

Why is this Knife Preferred by Professionals?

It has an upturned point that goes through oyster hinges very easily. The blade doesn't flex, making working around hinges very easy without chipping.
